New Year's Resolution

One of my New Year’s Resolutions is to give more this year. I have always believed in providing services to other people and it’s also my ethical duty. That’s why I’ve worked with the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service and will continue to do so. Not only do I think it’s a good thing, but I also have to acknowledge the privilege that I have enjoyed to be able to become a lawyer, and I believe that the way to make things more fair is to use that privilege to help people who have not enjoyed such privilege.

I also want to be able to use my skills to help people realize their options. My research into ways to protect non-marital families has shown me a wide variety of options that people who aren’t married can use to protect themselves and their families. I’m so grateful to NCSF for helping to share this information in a guest blog, and I’m also very grateful to Ruby Johnson for inviting me to speak at PolyDallas Millennium and also for her helping me to develop another publication to help empower people.

Thank you for reading have a happy and healthy New Year!
